Today, Magic-Swing ® operators continue to set the standard for high reliability and smooth, quiet operation with our proven high-performance mechanics and advanced microprocessor control. The powerful DC motor and high-strength drive system will work with doors weighing over 2,000 pounds, and still deliver controlled door movement even in tough environments. The microprocessor controller eliminates moving parts, so it greatly increases uptime and reliability. Magic-Swing ® is a power-open, spring-close door operator. Afractional HP DC motor, gear drive, ball screw actuator, rack & pinion and door arm open the door. Spring energy closes the door, with the motor acting as a dynamic brake to control the door’s speed. The Magic-Swing ® operator is available with a standard or light spring. Door forces and speeds generated during power opening and manual opening, in both directions of swing, as well as spring closing, conform to the standards set forth in ANSI A156.10.
